You could say that I am a person who has a lot of wanderlust. I am always so excited to travel and try to do it whenever I can. Throughout the past couple of years, I have been fortunate enough to travel to many countries and cities.

My friends "The Libras" |
I went to London on a Spring Break study abroad trip to take an honors course on the history of imperialism. This trip was so much fun and I made friends that I still hang out with to this day. I learned so much about imperialism and nationalism. The way that some countries present themselves is much different than how history really went.

Me in front of this arch |
On our free day (when we were supposed to go to Paris but strike shut down the train), we found out that we all had similar birthdays and were all Libras. We then decided it was only right to get matching tattoos.

The entire class at the meridian. |
The most memorable part about the trip was on the first night I got lost by myself in the rain and I didn't have anyones phone numbers. I'm glad it all worked out though!
 |
View of London from The Shard |
There were so many buildings that we had to climb. Luckily, I don't really have a fear of heights. The views from these buildings were spectacular, even though I was slightly nauseous from the winding stairs. Surprisingly, Big Ben was actually very small in comparison to other building and how its portrayed on TV.

We had a lot of photoshoots haha |
My friend, Sydney, and I decided to take a trip to France and Italy once we found extremely low fares to travel there. It was my dream to see Paris, especially since I was supposed to go while in London, but strikes prevented us from actually going.
 |
We had a picnic by the Eiffel Tower |
We were really living our French fantasy while having this beautiful picnic right below the Eiffel Tower. We ended up not actually going inside or up the tower because we figured we'd safe our money and just imagine what the view from up there was like.

Sydney and I in front of the Arch de Triumph |
Getting to the actual arch is much harder than you might think. It is kind of dangerous to try to just cross through the cars and traffic so you have to go underground. For some reason we really struggled with that.
 |
Outside of The Louvre |
Unfortunately, we were unable to actually go inside of The Louvre and see the infamous Mona Lisa due to strikes and protests shutting the museum down. It was really upsetting because this was now the second time I had travelled to come see this museum and I wasn't able to due to strikes. Guess I'll just have to try to come a third time!

Sleeping in Charles de Gaule |
Since we were trying to save money and make the most of our time, we ended up having to make some sacrifices. We ended up having to spend the night in the airport in Paris, but it wasn't that bad. I personally was not able to get any sleep, but it is an interesting experience.
Milan, Italy January 2020
Sydney and I decided to make the most out of our trip by traveling to Milan halfway through. It was a really quick flight and pretty easy to navigate our way through the airport, city, and public transportation.
 |
Me in front of Duomo |
Our hostel in Milan was super cheap but really fancy! We had such great views with a balcony. It was within walking distance of everything that we wanted to see. We actually climbed to the top of the Duomo and the building itself is actually very spectacular and intricate.
 |
Famous upscale shopping center in Milan (we couldn't afford anything here) |
This was definitely one of the most beautiful malls that I have ever been inside of. We were there just a few weeks before fashion week so we felt like we were missing out a little.
 |
Desert! |
We ate such great food while we were there! I definitely spent the most money on buying desserts and snacks throughout the day. No regrets there though.
 |
Getting attacked by pigeons |
There are men that stand outside of the Duomo and offer you seeds so you can feed the pigeons. I'm not entirely sure why I volunteered myself for this because I have never been a huge fan of these birds. Ever since I saw Home Alone 2 with the bird lady in Central Park, I have not been too interested in them.

Lake Como and Bellagio, Italy 2020
From Milan, we took a day trip to Lake Como. Sydney had been dreaming of seeing Lake Como, so we figured since we're so close, we should definitely take a day trip there.
 |
A house right in the middle of Lake Como |
We got to ride on a boat several times during this trip through Lake Como and the views were amazing all around! I wish I could live here.
 |
Sydney and I at Lake Como |
During our trip, the weather in France and Italy was not too cold, especially for January. I guess we have global warming to thank for that. However, for some reason I completely overlooked the fact that it would probably be pretty cold at Lake Como because of the water and totally forgot to bring my coat. Surprisingly, I was actually not too cold.
