High School Me

My parents and I at my High School graduation (May 2017)
Growing up, I would have definitely considered myself to be somewhat shy, but once I got to high school I finally came out of my shell. I went to Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland "where diversity excels". My high school experience could not have been more perfect. From day 1 I think that I really took advantage of everything that Wilde Lake had to offer.

Favorite Parts About High School:
Band by far was one of the best experiences that I had in High School. Our band director, Mr. Dutrow, was one of the best music teachers in the state. Band was where almost all of my friends were and people I saw almost everyday for four years. We created such a close bond. I think that band at my high school was much different than stereotypes that you see in movies and on TV. We had such a great time learning, playing, and traveling with each other. My other favorite moment of high school was giving the last speech at graduation and instructing everyone to turn their tassels. That was a goal of mine for several years, so the fact that it came true was such a great way to finish out my time at Wilde Lake High.
